Fung Ping Shan Building

Fung Ping Shan Building is located next to the University's entrance on Bonham Road.

This three-storey red brick building was opened in 1932. It was a gift from Mr Fung Ping Shan. During the early days, the building was used as the University's Chinese library and was named "Fung Ping Shan Library" which was relocated in the Main Library.

In 1953, the building was converted into the Fung Ping Shan Museum of Chinese Art and Archaeology. With its extension to T. T. Tsui Building in 1996, the Museum changed its title to the University Museum and Art Gallery. 

In 2018, the exteriors of Fung Ping Shan Building was declared as monument by the Hong Kong SAR Government.
